At The Shed Project, we believe in the power of early intervention, connection, and mentorship to change the trajectory of young lives. Thanks to the generous support of the Pixel Fund, our Youth Mentoring Programme continues to provide a safe, supportive, and empowering space for young people navigating life’s challenges.
In communities like ours - economically fragile and geographically remote - young people often face unique hurdles that can make the path to a positive future feel uncertain. Issues such as isolation, lack of opportunity, and the impact of family or personal struggles can weigh heavily on their wellbeing. That’s where the Shed Project’s mentoring work makes a difference.
Our team works directly with young people both in and outside of school, offering one-to-one mentoring, transition support, and a listening ear to those who need it most. By being present in schools, we are able to identify young people who would benefit from extra support, building trusting relationships that extend beyond the classroom. Through drop-in sessions and youth clubs at The Shed, we provide a safe and welcoming space where young people can feel seen, heard, and valued.
The impact of this work is profound. With the right guidance, encouragement, and someone to walk alongside them, young people can develop confidence, resilience, and hope for their future. Families also benefit, knowing that their children are being supported by a team that truly cares.
We are deeply grateful to the Pixel Fund for recognizing the importance of this work and for enabling us to continue making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people. Your support is an investment in brighter futures, stronger communities, and the belief that every young person deserves to be heard and supported.
